Sarah Alida LeClair is an artist and educator with a focus on intersectional feminism and outreach for underserved communities. Sarah holds a masters of music degree in vocal performance from SDSU and is a professional singer actress in San Diego, performing with Moxie, San Diego Rep, San Diego Opera words and music program, and New Village Arts as well as supporting the San Diego Black Artists Collective. Sarah has been a high school arts teacher since graduating from SDSU in east county San Diego, and has focused on bringing professional bipoc artists to perform and teach master classes both from San Diego and Broadway to her students as well as fundraising for the past ten years to raise money for voice lessons for underprivileged kids, winning the Helen and Tolly J. Lambert award for outstanding educator and Heritage Festivals Silver, Gold and adjudicators awards. In 2023 she established Riot Productions Inc, an independent theatrical production company for women led and women written art, with a collective of local actors and educators, and since then has served as artistic director and music director for the theatre’s programming of women written original works, including her own successful “Audition Sides”, which was the San Diego International Fringe Festival’s Outstanding World Premiere. Her work as an advocate for kids from underserved communities continues with Riot’s East County Star Vocal Competition, awarding scholarships to underprivileged performers from East County San Diego.
