“I feel so honored to have received this incredibly generous grant. I know that the William Male Foundation will be significant in shaping my future as an artist, and for that I am very grateful. The foundation's generosity helps to make this dream come true, and it means the world to me.”
~ Louisa Miller
Jazmyne Lyons was in foster care since the age of ten years old. Over the span of those ten years she found solace in cooking at her group homes and with her foster families. She cultivated that love of cooking in the Culinary Arts Program at Garfield High School. She went on to pursue culinary arts as a career at the Culinary Institute of America. The William Male Foundation helped fund her studies at the CIA.
Louisa Miller is our latest grant recipient. Louisa will be using her William Male Foundation grant to help fund her participation in the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company, where she will be learning to use her love of dance to help promote peace and social justice.
