Nick Bernal is a publisher, writer, and artist-collaborator living in San Diego, California. Nick uses risograph duplication to explore small press publishing and printmaking as a non-institutional community art practice. Since 2017 Nick has organized and supported alternative art events in Tijuana and San Diego and has worked with hundreds of artists to produce low cost printed editions.
Nick was awarded funding from the William Male Foundation to sustain the collaborative project, BAB NEWSLETTER, an ongoing art-by-mail monthly newsletter he has organized, produced, and mailed out since 2019. In turn, the newsletter funds a shared artist space, printmaking studio, and DIY print and zine archive.
